BUICK NAILHEAD BRACKETS

364 - 401 - 425

1957, 1958, 1959. 1959, 1960, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965. 1966

The compressor on the Buick 6001-B kit can be rotated 90 degrees counter clock wise to achieve more clearance for the fittings and hoses. It will still operate properly. They will run up to a full 90 degrees clockwise or counter clockwise.

1957 thru 1958 364 C. I. engine: Requires using 1962 thru 1966 3 groove pulleys. 1958 engines w/factory A/C - or Air Suspension used a different water pump. This kit requires the non A/C - Air Suspension, water pump on the 1958 engines. 1962 and some early 1963 3 groove water pump pulleys were smaller, (4-3/4" dia). We recommend using the 1963 thru 1966 larger, (5-1/8"dia) pulley to increase belt to pulley contact and to reduce potential belt slip and fan noise. We recommend using a clutch fan on all applications to reduce potential belt slip and fan noise.

CHEVROLET 6 CYLINDER
Air compressor bracket, 1954 thru 1962,  235 and 261 C.I.
This kit will not fit with the 216 and early 235 where the water pump housing
 is above the block surface and has a short pump with a press on pulley.  
A bracket for the 216 is in the works.

Steel A/C compressor bracket kit

GM GEN II 6 cylinder engines, (1954 Thru 1962, 235C.I. and 261C.I.). Uses the 508 style compressor. Does not require dual groove pulleys. Compatible with headers and four barrel or dual carburetor set-ups. Will not work with most three carburetor set-ups. Comes complete with bracket and all necessary mounting hardware. Accessories available separately.

Steel A/C compressor bracket kit

GM Gen 3 four (153 C.I.), and six cylinder (194, 230, 250, and 292 C.I.) engines, and the Pontiac 215 C.I. engine. Uses the 508 style compressor. Requires a 2 groove pulley set-up. Some small and big block short water pump pulleys will work as long as both grooves are the same diameter and your water pump flange has dual bolt patterns. Fan and spacer bolt patterns need to match. We recommend using a six blade fan of the largest diameter possible for added cooling capacity. Comes complete with bracket and mounting hardware.

CHEVROLET SMALL BLOCK V8
Steel Power Steering Bracket, V belt
Fits small block Chevrolet with short water pump.  Uses GM TC 2, Type power steering
 pump.  Mounts low on the drivers side.  Requires 3 groove crankshaft pulley and runs in
3rd outer groove, same as OEM.  Power steering pumps and GM add on 3rd groove 
crankshaft pulley No. 1232P and Power steering pump pulley No. 4625P are available 
separately.

Steel Power Steering Bracket, V belt

This steel power steering bracket, V belt kit uses the Saginaw P style metric pump. But will work with the earlier Saginaw SAE pump also. It will lean out slightly compared to the later model metric pump. Rear fitting location must be at 7 & 8 o’clock position. I usually purchase pump for 1986 Chevy Caprice, but there are many GMs that used these. Some pumps will need a studded bolt on the back (GM PT #7831388 for metric pump; PT# 5689546 for the SAE pump).

These are the standard pumps used on mostly GM from early 60s to mid 90s.
